Sending out a hump day hello with this awesome photo of Danny the dromedary camel, taken by Keeper Sky! Dromedaries are the tallest of the camels and have one hump, not two. They have long, powerful legs and like giraffes, they walk in a motion called “pacing,” moving the front and back legs on one side of their body forward at the same time. You can see dromedaries like Danny, as well as Bactrian camels, in our Asia Plaza exhibit or during an up-close Camel Connection experience! 📸@rachaiasky
