TAKEOVER @reveparty Christopher Barraja De Chlore et de Rosé is my most complete and representative body of work. For the past 6 years I’ve been completing it with pictures taken here and there in summer. Based in the south of France, these pictures show visions of youth and details of elements taken after one too many glasses of rosé. Saturated with the smell of chlorine, a skeleton lays at the bottom of the pool, looking at us with it’s empty eyes. Just as empty as the water tanks were this summer. A couple kisses on a boat, a ribbon sways in front of the dark see just as a piece of fabric bulges before our eyes. What if these details were trying to warn us. What if their cries for help just sink in the Mediterranean under the burning sun because we cannot understand them. Nobody looks at the bigger picture. Summer is stretching and embracing all within its dry arms, its long days and cruel temper.
