A wonderfully inspiring night at the National Book Awards! Finally met all my 2021 co-judges. Saw some dear friends. Heard some soul-stirring speeches. Huge congrats to all the finalists in Young People’s Literature & winner Sabaa Tahir! Non-fiction winner Imani Perry summoned the ancestors with her moving speech. ❤️
