“Tribal identity” A Visual essay now online @glamcult & link in my bio ✨ • As a Congolese woman from the diaspora I’ve always been connected and inspired by my African heritage and ancestry. From different tribes, their culture and most specifically their ways of commutation and identification through cultural clothes. With this project the focus lies within personal identification and translating that forward into fashion. It tells a story about heritage, status, self expression, spiritual protection, state of mind and more. This editorial is really about celebrating these ways of communication and expression. I’m forever evolving and so is my art and my identity. It’s my story but also the story of the women that came before me, I’m a mirror of them. We all are a reflection of nature, as nature always has the core elements for creation and my infinite source of inspiration.
