✨Small Business Saturday ✨
We’re reflecting on the gratitude we feel for the small businesses, creatives, and community members who continue to uplift our stories.
We’re grateful for Terrence Jeffrey Santos @terrencejeffreysantos , Founder of @filipinotown.magazine and Board VP of @filipinotown.seattle , whose presence in our community goes far beyond publishing.
Terrence (Kuya Jeff) has shown up consistently — interviewing our small business owners, mentoring creatives, supporting our FCS small business program as a Small Business Ambassador, Talipapa Planning Committee Adviser, and building connections that uplift Filipino/a/x stories across generations.
Through the support of the Small Business Resiliency Network (SBRN) Grant–Loan Program in a 2024 pilot program, he expanded the magazine’s reach nationwide covering and celebrating the stories, spirit, and success of Filipinotown communities from Las Vegas to DMV (D.C., Maryland, and Virginia). Filipinotown Magazine also released their very first Pride Issue, and published a second Seattle issue celebrating our 90th Anniversary at FCS @filipinocommunityofseattle
These are some photos of Kuya Jeff gathering stories — reminding us that representation is a collective effort, and our narratives are strongest when held with intention and care.
Thank you, @terrencejeffreysantos , for continuing to amplify our voices.
📅 Celebrate with him and @aleksamanila at the Pin@y Pride December 4th Filipinotown Magazine launch party at @kiligseattle 6-9PM
