With every morning I realize my daily need for the Lord more and more. My need to draw near to Him and hold on tight. My need to trust that He is faithful to the promises over my life. And more than ever, my need to engrave scripture on my heart. People test my patience, school tests my identity, and seasons of change test my faith. Yet, in every circumstance He walks right along side me. There have been many nights where I lay down and just think about how much grace was poured out that day. I have truly experienced Psalm 55:22 “Cast your burden on the Lord and He shall sustain you” and Matthew 11:29-30 “Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”. Life is often overwhelming but that doesn’t mean we need to be overwhelmed. Let God bear your burdens. Let Him speak to your fears. Just simply let Him in, to sit with you. He is so so faithful to meet your effort with grace. Where I fall short in every area of my life, He comes in a picks up my slack (which is often times the entirety of the load). I am constantly in awe of His faithfulness and His deep love for me. That same grace is absolutely available to you, it’s just a matter of recognizing it. A verse that changed the way I do life, and especially school, is Matthew 6:27-34 (I highly prefer the MSG version for this verse) so I hope it blesses you guys as well 🤍 Also enjoy some incredible photos taken during our summer Alaska trip by @sean_erman :)
