Episode 8 ‘The Elysian Kingdom’ my favourite episode of season 1 - even though I haven’t actually seen it yet 😂 The story. Bored during my Canadian quarantine of 2021, I started an Instagram page for my pupster @runa_ewok I figured she’d be the kinda pup that would also want to be in front of the camera so portrayed her as such, and low and behold she started nagging me to get her an audition for #strangenewworlds (all documented on her IG). I think it was my amazing make-up artist @olga_kirnos who suggested I ask if they could write her in to the show and my philosophy of ‘if you don’t ask, you don’t get’ made me go to our incredible on set director/producer @widgetfactoryco Chris (Fish as he is affectionately known). Fish said he’d pitch it to @alonsomyers and Henry said he’d see what the writers could do... Even with @celiargooding strongly backing our case, I genuinely wasn’t expecting it to happen. Then.... episode 8 came out, and there she was in black and white as Princess Runa - courtesy of the uber kind and talented writer @onitrajohnson (her first tv script ever btw and she nailed it big time!). So of course Runa had fittings for a dress to match mine (more on this when it’s aired). And that dress!!! 😱 Talk about fulfilling my 5yr old dreams 👀 Give @berncroft the Emmy now please! I can’t tell you how happy it all made me, but when you watch the episode you can probably guess. Ps.
