Orsalina rain. After a swelteringly dry summer here in the south of Europe, it was a deluge of joy to see, hear, smell, and feel the skies open and release her waters upon the parched dry earth. I simply HAD to get drenched and let my inner child have a splashabout in the downpour.... #solleon and I showed up as a surprise to join our fantastically talented givers of knowledge, integrity and spirit; @chloe_albaret & @lou_motion in @orsolina28 for the final days of a summer intensive based around our madcap ballet Sad Case. Chloe & Menghan have been sharing the work alongside their glorious selves with gifted and gung-ho young artists here at @orsolina28 for a week. Sol and I, added our own personal layer of encouraging growth in the dancers blazing enthusiasm and diligence to the work. It was truly an “intensive” few days! There’s nothing more inspirational and positive energy-invoking, than witnessing change and bonding of colleagues. Bravissimo to the whole Sad Case tribe for their red hot 101% commitment to the cause of being together. Orsolina28 is in my opinion the sanctuary for dance in the world right now. Driven by the vision/passions of @simonymonteiro & Michele it surpasses anything I’ve ever felt with regard to the connection of nature & dance. The magic thrives and bubbles here because the heart always comes first, and there are NO compromises to that credo. A rejuvenation to assemble here again. The ethic/belief in family and quality so engrained in its elements; Orsolina is living proof of our potential to align with Mother Earth doing good in all ways to the planet and ourselves.
