joining the chorus of good-byes to 2022. a year where i did a lot of shit, talked a lot of shit and learned a lot of shit. i learned how to cuddle, how to cry (like really, really cry) from the beauty of the world. new apartment, new job, new meds, new therapists, new hair (lots of new hair), new friendships, new flavors, and visits to new countries. i did a shit ton of karoake... a catharsis like no other. i got to drive a race car! i meditated. i got back into travel, one of my great loves, but with every journey i had to make gentle room for homesickness — not from sadness but from an overwhelming understanding that brooklyn, where my group chats are IRL, is my home and my friends, the best family anyone could ever ask for. i got close, like close close with *multiple* aquarians! who saw that coming? not me. i took a cooking class. i became a runner. i sweat and let go of so much weakness. i lived fully and worked my ass off. i did none of this alone. i cannot wait to see all that this new year might bring to us all. i hope it is a year of learning, of romance, of fresh starts, of texting your parents and your exes, of closure, of good books and bad behavior. happy new year everyone 🍾 i love this photo bc i 100% got dressed in a public restroom and came out looking this good. oh goodness, 2022 you were so good to me.
