Same same but different π These are two variations of a theme - forearm wheel. On the top is a modified version and the bottom is advanced. There are lots of middle ground poses, but for the sake of comparison, I went for more of the extremes.
These two poses achieve the same benefits. Both open the heart, shoulders, triceps and strengthen the legs. I begin both poses in bridge. The top version is supported by a block (I show two different heights of the block but choose the higher position because it feels best in my body). Once stable, I find the leg variation. Next, I bring my arms overhead, hands in prayer, thumbs behind my neck.
In the advanced variation, I go from bridge to wheel then lower down to forearms. I bring my hands together then find the leg position before coming to my elbows and bringing my hands up. Moving slowly is critical as elbows can slip.
The top variation is great to prepare for the bottom version, but itβs also great on itβs own. π
