These images are from the factory of @ontarioknifecompany in Franklinville, NY. I was given a tour in order to observe the facilities and products while we were working on a set of images for their catalog. As we walked around the historic building I couldn't help but notice most of the staff seemed to consist of mothers and grandmothers. Their hands operated heavy machinery, chemical baths, and sharpening stones during the day but at night I imagined them shaping loaves of bread, changing diapers, or reading the news like my own grandmother, with big smiles and lots of love.
