The number one question in my DMs recently — how did I make my own candles at home? SAVE THIS POST for step by step guide on how to make your own pretty candles! 1. Things that you need - take a screenshot of the list in my video 2. STEPS: • set up your work station. I covered my desk with parchment paper in case of spills and it worked really great! • make a hole in your silicone mold and thread your candle wicks through the hole. Tip: using a large sewing needle is easier. • melt your wax. Tip: soy candles are better for pillar candles. I used coconut wax the first time and it was a disaster to remove them from the mold. • once the wax is melted, you can add fragrance oil if desired. You can then pour the wax to the molds. Tip: pouring temp differs depending on the wax but for soy wax, pour between 130-165 F. Pouring when it's too cold or too hot affects the candles when they formed. • use clothespin to hold the wick and make sure it's in the center. There are also wick holders that you can buy but I happened to have lots of clothespins. • set aside and let form for at least eight hours • once formed, gently remove the candle from the mold — AND VOILA! I swear it's easier doing it than reading this!😅 Let me know if you try it! #casaalmonte #diycandles #diycandle #diyhomedecor #diyhomeprojects #diyhome #candlemaker #candlelove #candlelovers #homediy #homediyproject #diygifts #diyvideos #diycraft #diyinspiration #diylife #diydecoration #founditonamazon #amazonfinds #amazoninfluencer #amazonmusthaves #amazonhome #amazonhandmade #theeverygirlathome #sfblogger #sfbloggers #sflifestyle #craftylife #craftygirls #craftygirl
