For me, turning the music & thrashing way up always translates to turning my stress & anxiety way down. I largely got into fitness not for the aesthetics or weight loss or performance, but for my mental health. I enjoy challenging my body because it gets me out of my head. It forces me to stay present. It allows me to release whatever I’m feeling or going through in a healthy & productive way. It grounds me & keeps me in the realm of reality.
