TEC Student Member and 2022 Rising Explorer Grant recipient, Alex Geldzahler @alexmg717 / @ageldz just wrapped up a great first season of #excavations in #Rabat, #Malta with a team from Australia and Italy. This #expedition, "The Melite Civitas Romana Project," unearthed a Roman villa from the 1st century BC - one of the largest Roman excavations in decades. The team includes Rob Brown, Davide Tansasi, Andrew Wilkinson, Benedict Lowe, and David Cardona, with special collaboration from @heritagemalta, @int.arch.malta, @usouthflorida Institute for Digital Exploration (IDEX), @north_alabama, and @flindersuniversity.
