Discovery Guides at the Central Park Zoo danced the can-can in support of designating the Hudson Canyon a marine sanctuary. Located 100 miles southeast of New York City, the Hudson Canyon is an important habitat for hundreds of marine species including whales, dolphins, endangered sea turtles, sharks, tunas, cold water corals, and more. WCS’s New York Aquarium leads a broad coalition of organizations, government leaders, stakeholders and members of the public that nominated Hudson Canyon as a National Marine Sanctuary.
