50 #Ktown kids and families not only got free bilingual books, they got to meet the authors! ☺️📚 Our #CRCMetroLA Mini Library Grand Opening was a BLAST, thanks to #Latina children’s book author Sandra Gonzalez-Mora, her daughter and co-author Julia Rae Rodriguez, and illustrator Rey Mora of @skillfulandsoulful Press! The trio did a bilingual story time, plus a meet and greet where they gave away personally dedicated books to each child (and lots of kids at heart too!). @lapubliclibrary and @winfamiliesla came through with FREE BILINGUAL BOOKS for each child, puzzles, games and fun koala craft activities! 🐨 In theme with @skillfulandsoulful Press’ “I Want To Dance Like A Koala Bear,” our kids Zumba instructor Jennifer came out to help us move our bodies! Jennifer will be teaching a weekly kids Zumba class starting this December. Shout out to the team at CRC Metro LA for organizing this event and making books available to our #Koreatown community. You can come in and check out books starting Monday, November 28th. Our goal is to have books for adults and kids in all the languages spoken in our community.
