Q: Was she worth it? An odd title indeed, yet for anyone who’s worth their salt with Bingo Lingo, theres a clue to my age today. Mais Oui.... It’s my Birthday. Questions forever. My other part overflowing with emotions, revelling and raptured.. Grateful doesn’t come close. This summer especially. Like a book spinning silken threads out of my yarn, people near & dear have been passing through my doors in France. The indescribable completeness of this time. If it would all end tomorrow for me, I’d curl up a happy man. Though I’d prefer to remain a while longer, fate permitting.... So here I perch, foot on steering wheel of a sturdy old girl I wanted to celebrate today. Our car.... Bought in 1997, smelling of fresh paint and sewn upholstery, our VW Golf Cabrio @vw turned heads at first with her spanking newness. Over the years people glanced again for other reasons as she aged... now I re-feel folks gaze turning again as my dark green gem enters the hallowed realms of “New Timer”! I’ve been her only chauffeur. She’s taken us far and wide across Europe for a 1/4 century. She carried Sol to the hospital mid-contractions to deliver Saura, bringing her home again with this exceptional new life in her mother’s arms. All the journeys we’ve shared. She rarely let us down. The car, now a measurement of time for us all. How I love to drive. That sensation of freedom and reality within the world. Thus here are 3 most important women of my world; The unending unconditional love for @saurall. The inspirational conditional love for #solleon The thankful love for this automobile, whom I’ve always addressed in the feminine. Onward into a new age I go. Rich in things that matter to me.
