It’s a miracle for an independent film to get made, even in normal times. Our journey with this film was long and complicated and spanned four years and one pandemic. Many caring and talented people held it close and kept the dream alive. So it’s incredibly cathartic, emotional, and humbling to be able to write these words today: God’s Country will premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. All my love and respect to @thandiwenewton for offering up the performance of a lifetime and being the most passionate and committed collaborator a director could hope for.
