The difference between the last time I wore this dress and now? I’m happy. To the girl who wore it last, I know you felt beautiful. I did, too. I know how hard you worked and how excited you were to dance, but felt like you couldn’t so you stayed in your seat. Posing as shy and demure, wanting to stay as pretty as those pictures you took on your deck still are. And they are. Beautiful, that is. But they were not you, and you were not happy. So let me tell you this- this time, you had people who really wanted to spend the night with you and make it something fun. You had a better reason to go, a better theme, better skills to achieve your dream look, and a better date (thank you to Art, for agreeing to go). So to that girl? Happy Phormal 2023. You would have never pictured yourself here, and in a way, you never will be where I am.
