I spent Saturday morning outside in a pretty courtyard in Brooklyn, listening to one of my favorite artists, Laraaji play music with my friend @samerghadry . The music they made together was so healing and so joyful. After the show I told Laraaji that the sounds were vibrating in my cells and that I wanted to dance. He laughed and said, “Why didn’t you? Didn’t want to look too blessed?” 🥹 A gentle, playful reminder for me of something I’m always teaching others: what a blessing to be here, to have a body, to be able to receive music as a gift, and to express ourselves in return with these muscles and bones. Can you give yourself permission to let your body dance when it feels moved? To be seen in your embodied joy? To not worry about what it looks like and just be in touch with sensation and presence? Can you give yourself permission to feel your aliveness a little bit more? (Asking myself, asking all of us.) ✨ 🎶: @laraaji_official
