This might be one of my favorite pictures...ever. As a young girl I was always drawn to dressing more androgynously—but I was very quickly shamed out of it growing up in Texas. Now that I’m in my 30s and have shaken off the weight of other peoples expectations, I’m finding more ways to connect with that side of myself—exploring gender identity, feeling at home in less traditionally feminine clothing, and figuring out what my queerness actually means to me.
