Story time with Maxie.j 🤷🏾‍♀️ 😅 : I started @ellaelisque in 2014, but I didn’t launch my first collection until 2015. I had no clue what I was doing 😩 I literally googled how to start a clothing brand and just went for what I knew 😅🤷🏾‍♀️. I did something right because I grew the brand from nothing... I opened two stores on melrose and I was making 6 figures a year working for myself in just 3 years . However , 3 years in and I lost EVERYTHING. I HAD to walk away from a 180k investment in those stores and I was DEVASTATED . I didn’t understand how did I allow myself to fumble the ball like that after all I accomplished ? I felt like my heart was snatched out my chest. I kept telling everyone “ imma shake back, idk how , but I promise you I am. “😞 Fast forward, I flew to turkey Istanbul 🇹🇷 on my last dime a couple years back. Barely had enough money for a flight and hotel stay. But I was determined to do whatever it took, to SHAKE BACK. Long story short, several sacrifices later , several risks later, dang I even remember turning in my car , being carless for over a year just so I can afford to pay a small team of 3 people...I made sure everyone around me ATE before I even thought about myself for YEARS. Two years in relaunching My brand, and @ellaelisque is now a multi million dollar brand, between Turkey 🇹🇷 and LA 🇺🇸 I pay 30 people, and i’m only continuing to grow. Man I’m just a round the way fly girl from inglewood who decided to reach for the stars 💰 🏃🏽‍♀️ 👉🏾 @ellaelisque ....
