“When I made that first mixtape, it was when I first introduced myself – that’s how I look at it. That was the most special time for me creatively. The beginning.” I remember being at school watching Tinashe’s music videos and despite her latest album coming out last year, it’s still on replay. As you can now probably guess this interview was a real treat for me. “It was so pure. I wasn’t concerned with anyone else’s opinions; it was just all about me.
