Y’all “foodies” still traveling across the globe for chicken tenders and fries?! One of the most exciting things for me when traveling is unique eating experiences. I’ve definitely consumed my share of “pets” (I’ll spare you the specifics but, remember, what you consider a “pet” in your native country may not be considered a “pet” in another country and vice versa). I was actually that “only chicken tenders” type of gal until I moved to China in 2018 and began traveling more consistently. My mantra when eating while traveling is “try it at least once.” Being open-minded has opened doors for me to build lasting connections with wonderful people all over the world. What’s funny is I’ve eaten scorpions and spiders before but the uniqueness of this experience was watching the entire process. We also ate lion and tiger tacos!! I’m not saying everyone should go out and eat insects and arachnids for supper but definitely get out of your comfort zone and try unique experiences when traveling!
