Made a floral arrangement with my mom today and decided to post! The world might be a scary mess, but there is still so much beauty to be found. Ever since I was little I have loved flowers. The photo of the water lily is one I took on my digital camera at the Dallas arboretum at least ten years ago. Just like my mom, there is nothing I love more than having fresh flowers in my house so here are some photos of bouquets I’ve put together over the last year! The potted plant is an African Violet. And this spring it finally bloomed again after we got it last summer. It’s a tradition in my family going back to my great grandmother, Granny Anna, to have African Violets on the sink window sill and my Mimi still does it today! I hope that everyone will try and stop to smell the roses and treat yourself to some flowers! Remember to cut your stems on a diagonal and replace your water regularly! Happy growing!
