The State Funeral for Her Majesty the Queen will take place tomorrow in London. It’s been difficult to choose one image out of all the outstanding recreations of the Queen included in our recent coverages and archives. However, this painting by Nigerian artist Oluwole Omofemi commissioned by Tatler’s editor Richard Dennen for the Platinum Jubilee had a special meaning. First, there’s nothing more royal than Tatler. Also, there’s an incredible story of talent and growth behind it as the artist saw his trip to stardom boosted by the commission of this work. What a great example of influence, promoting diverse talent and championing creativity at the same time than paying tribute to the Queen.
