📣Presenting the next superstar in our lineup of 2023 #PoweredbyPablove Childhood Cancer Researchers: Dr. Shahrzad Bahrampour at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.👩‍⚕️✨️ Dr. Bahramour's project focuses on increasing the permeability of the blood brain barrier to allow therapeutic agents to better access pediatric brain tumors. 🩸🔬 🧠This research is tremendously important because the brain, our most complex organ, has a unique defense mechanism -- the blood-brain barrier. This barrier protects the brain by limiting the entry of harmful agents from blood.
