Another new taco spot just landed in NYC! The founder of Cosme—named one of the world’s 50 best restaurants in 2021—has opened a taqueria in the former La Esquina upstairs space today! (the downstairs remains open!) The menu is short and focused—five tacos: steak ($5.95), mushroom with squash blossom ($5.45), pork belly ($5.95), chicken thigh ($5.45), and a NY strip + sirloin combo ($6.95). They also have guacamole ($8) and something sweet ($3) to finish. I tried the NY strip, pork belly, and mushroom tacos. My favorite was the pork belly—crispy full savory flavor.
