Allegedly claiming the lives of over 200 people along the banks of the Ruzizi River, Gustave is reported to measure up to a length of 20 feet long and weight ~2000 lbs, a behemoth among mortals. The last time he was seen was in 2009 and in 2019 there was a claim that he was killed per the report of a travel writer in 2019, but a lack of any confirmation or proof leaves people to remain skeptical.
