in Dallas - I’m asking for donations this month to help them continue providing for the homeless. Every Sunday, those who need and provided with a warm and welcoming environment to learn about God and be fueled with community. They are not only providing food, but they are going above and beyond with everything they do. Every bit of these people’s experience has been thoroughly thought through. See a few simple, simple examples below: They serve ice cream - I asked pastor David why they serve ice cream when it’s freezing outside and he said these people don’t have the luxury of being able to have ice cream as they please. Most of them haven’t had any in years, so they serve it to bring a little bit of joy to the needy. They pray over people and give a short 15 minute sermon - it’s short because many of these people feel a lack of security. We can leave our homes for hours as we have doors that lock and security cameras, these people are leaving their lives on the streets, so they often feel like they need to stay close to protect what they have.
