Monday morning, the Amoreau family—owners of Château Le Puy since 1610 (!)–hosted a mind-bending journey through 100 years worth of their flagship “Emilien”... The common thread of purity and harmony in Le Puy, from the unfinished 2021 to the still-vigorous 1921, was stunning to behold (they never changed their style to suit the times, and never caught the technological bug); equally as amazing was Emilien’s over-performance in historically maligned vintages like 1980 and 1957. What a privilege it is to represent this family and these singular wines!
