😳 Wow - big move by Disneyland here - the “Early Entry” perk for Disneyland Resort hotel guests will permanently discontinue starting January 5, 2026. This means that all Disneyland Resort hotel guests will no longer be able to enter either theme park 30 minutes earlier than the normal posted park opening time. Instead, DLR hotel guests will be given one Lightning Lane pass for any *MULTI PASS* attraction. This means that the LL pass cannot be used on Rise of the Resistance (Disneyland) or Radiator Springs Racers (Disney California Adventure) since these two attractions don’t fall under the LL Multi Pass attraction list. I can’t quite find any clearly written language on this, the wording in the new policy (swipe) seems to indicate that the resort will offer one Lightning Lane for each hotel guest, per stay - not per day...meaning, whether you are staying at a DLR hotel for 1 night or 10 nights, each guest gets one Lightning Lane pass for the whole stay. Years ago this perk allowed hotel guests to enter ONE HOUR before park opening (“Magic Hour”), then it turned into a 30-minute Early Entry perk, then it was limited to Early Entry for only a certain park on specific days - and now, Disneyland is doing away with the perk completely! Disney: “Prior to January 5, 2026: Guests who are checked in and staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels can take advantage of 30-minute early entry to a designated theme park every day of their hotel stay to enjoy select attractions, dining and shopping locations. Each day, either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park will open early: -Disneyland Park: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday -Disney California Adventure Park: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday Please check the theme park calendar for park opening times. Starting January 5, 2026: Guests who are checked in and staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels can instead take advantage of one Lightning Lane entry to a Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction during their Resort stay.” Interesting move by DLR on this one 🤔 Maybe the logistics behind supporting an early opening is a bit of a lift for the resort??
