This striking bird is a plush-crested jay. They are a member of the Corvid family, which also includes crows and ravens. Plush-crested jays are a South American species found in north and east Bolivia, central and south Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and northern Argentina. At the Central Park Zoo, you can see them in the Tropic Zone.
