Today I levelled up to 27 🎉 My last two birthdays were in strict lockdowns, so it was nice to celebrate for a change! I made a list of 27 things I’d achieved/ticked off/learnt over the past year (I used to do this each year, but got kinda lazy 😅) So to kick off, this year I... 1. Saw Kings of Leon live! (dream since I was a teen) 2. Travelled to the Calanques in France 3. Have a new fav film: Everything, Everywhere AAO 4. Went to EDC Las Vegas 💃 5. Really enjoy listening to live jazz 🎷 6. Had my artwork featured on billboards! (Billie Eilish) 7. Saw Coldplay for the 3rd time and was still in awe 8. Learnt that I really enjoy playing tennis 9. Moved out with two of my best pals and have had the greatest time 🥹👨‍👨‍👧 10. Did a a project with Magic the Gathering! 11. Learnt that I can actually paint proper backgrounds! 12. Learnt to enjoy doing things alone 13. Realised how much I actually LOVE the beach 14. Realised how great it is to chill and read at a beach 15. Realised that I enjoy hikes/outdoor activities a lot more than I thought 16. Realised that I need to try to paint and draw things out of pure fun, or things I truly care about 17. Realised that I want to enter my weeb art era haha 18. Realised that I should check in with friends more 19. Realised being a morning person isn’t so bad 20. Realised that I need to actively seek to switch off/relax more often (like going to the beach to read!) 21. Realised the importance of actively seeking and enjoying family time ❤️ 22. Realised the rekindling and reconnecting of those distant/older friendships is always worth the time 23. Realised the importance of having a routine 24. Realised the importance of separating work & life 25. Realised that friendships fade and change as we grow up, and that’s ok! 26. Realised that at the end of the day, I’m the only one responsible for my own problems & happiness 27. Realised that it’s important to actively remind and ignite passion in my work and not let it feel like a chore And with that, here’s to turning 27! 🎉
