Last week we buried and said our final goodbyes to our dear colleague, friend, cousin, brother and son, Benson. We, the Mensah-Bonsu Family, wanted to extend our sincerest appreciation and thanks to EVERYONE who assisted/participated in any of the funeral ceremonies. 🙏🏿👍🏿 As difficult as this time has been for us all, last week's festivities were as beautiful, thoughtful and serene a send off that could have been given to such a wonderful man. We want to thank the dozens of attendees who traveled from outside the UK and all over the world, as well as everyone who attended in person and the thousands that have streamed thus far. Thank you. All of your kind words, gifts and heartfelt tributes made the ceremonies as perfect a goodbye to Benson as can be. It was an incredible way to mourn the loss, but also celebrate the memory of Benson. We also want to thank you for the continuous flowers and gifts that are being sent, but in of lieu of these items we ask that you hold off on them as we are in the process of establishing a memorial fund in honor of Benson. This fund will aid cancer research and support services for underserved and minority communities. These causes align with his wishes and were integral to Benson over the final chapter of his life. He felt strongly about making the resources he was afforded available to those less privileged. More information on the fund as well as future events celebrating Benson's life to come.
