I can’t believe it’s been a year since our baby boy was born and this nursery video went viral. So much has happened and changed in this last year and I can’t begin to imagine all of the growth and family memories that lay in front of us. The funny thing about this beautiful nursery, he’s never spent the night in it! We made a secondary room for him with us so he’s only ever napped in our arms in this room. Anyone else create a beautiful nursery their child rarely used? 🙈 Roger and I went through so many nursery theme ideas before finally deciding on a space-themed nursery. We liked the idea of a neutral classic Winnie the Pooh theme and then for a long while we were considering a beach theme. But after spending the day at the Kennedy Space Museum in Florida on Mother’s Day it was pretty clear that Roger hoped for a space theme for Baby Roger. No matter what theme we went with for our son’s first room, it was going to be very different from the whites and pinks that I typically decorate with around our home. So why not go with the extra challenge of trying to create a semi-minimalist outer space nursery!? Plus, we both have a deep love for Star Trek! The first step was deciding on a color scheme.
