If you’re looking for a powerful manifestation exercise to begin the new year, I got you 💌
2025 Future Memory Creation Letter 🪄
When we write about our future in the past tense, we activate both the default mode network (imagination) and autobiographical memory centers - creating a more vivid, achievable vision of possibility. Neuroscience shows that when we engage multiple sensory networks while visualizing, we create neural patterns almost identical to real experiences.
Here’s how to write your 2026 letter about 2025:
Setting Up:
1. Create a quiet, sacred space, light a candle - make it vibey.
2. Take a few long, deep breaths, activating your parasympathetic nervous system.
3. Begin your letter with “As I reflect on 2025...”
Engage Your Senses:
• Visual: Describe the environments you’re in with rich detail - the light, the colors, the people around you
• Auditory: The conversations, the laughter, the ambient sounds
• Kinesthetic: The physical sensations in your body during both big moments and the mundane everyday
• Emotional: Name the specific emotions; contentment, joy, peace, gratitude, excitement...
Writing Prompts:
• “I remember the moment when...”
• “What surprised me most was...”
• “I feel particularly proud of...”
• “The unexpected gift of this year was...”
Brain Tip: Your hippocampus (memory center) and anterior cingulate cortex (emotional processing) activate similarly whether you’re recalling a real memory or creating a detailed future visualization. Use this by writing with the same richness you’d use to describe a cherished memory.
Notice which sensory details come easily and which require more effort - this often indicates which aspects of your vision feel most aligned with your current neural pathways.
Remember: Your brain is already primed with everything needed to create these new neural pathways. This isn’t about forcing change or setting yourself up for disappointment - it’s about giving your natural capacity for growth a clear direction 🚀
Take your time with this. The more sensory-rich your writing, the stronger the neural imprint 🙏
Happy new year everyone! So grateful to be on this magical journey with all of you 💖
