A historic weekend vote, one which will shape our future as film & tv working artisans. We deserve better. We deserve to have a life outside of work, proper rest, reasonable wages and benefits. We work for huge studios and media conglomerates which saw some of their largest profits ever while we struggled either without work in the pandemic, or risked health & safety of not only ourselves but our families to work during COVID (particularly when case levels were at their worst!). We deserve not to fall asleep at the wheel or see our relationships suffer. If we don’t make this YES vote happen now, we won’t get another chance at this in our lifetimes. We love our jobs, but life is not equal to work. No more Fraturdays aka working til 5am on a Saturday and having to be back at work at 5am Monday. No more 14-20 hour days.
