Turned 30 on an island in the pacific & got to celebrate with some of my favourite people. Growing older is the biggest privilege, but to be honest I always dreaded turning 30. Mostly, because I somehow thought that I had to achieve certain things in life when my 30th birthday came around. The truth is all of those expectations & guidelines we create for ourselves are just arbitrary and you can always create your dream life no matter what age you are at. I only started surfing when I was 24 years old & it wasn’t until I was 28 that I learned how to ride a motorcycle. Now these two things are my favorite hobbies and I can promise you that I will pick up many new ones in my 30s. I said goodbye to my 20s- a decade that with many ups and downs. I lost my dad and met the love of my life. I felt stuck & lost and stumbled into my dream career. l lived in 5 different countries and finally found a place that feels like home. I am really proud of myself for never giving up on my dreams or losing track of the life I want to live. I honestly couldn’t be happier with the life I have created for myself & the incredible people in it. Here is to my 30s!
