This might be painful to hear, but it’s the truth–if you don’t want to be replaceable, you better be extraordinary. Every entrepreneur needs to take a good look in the mirror and ask themselves exactly what makes them special and irreplaceable. Can your work be replicated and at what cost? Is your business or product proprietary? Business is war, and no-one has a monopoly on good ideas. Money doesn’t care who it belongs to, it’s going to sniff out the best. Most people believe nobody else can do what they do, but if it only takes someone like me a few hundred thousand dollars or a couple million to do the same thing and completely wipe you out, you’re in a lot of trouble.
