French designer Pierre Yovanovitch describes the serene apartment he created for clients Pierre and Nima Krings, who are entrepreneurs and art collectors, as “sensual and warm.” (@nimette.paris and Yovanovitch in the space, last image) The challenge for @pierre.yovanovitch was to adapt the apartment, which actually straddles two ancient buildings (one dating from the 17th century) and unite what he calls “a mishmash of structural elements modified over the years, sometimes in a haphazard way,” for 21st century family life. Challenges aside, Yovanovitch says “This project had all the green lights. The owners were supercool: handsome, charming, clever, funny. The building had good vibes, good bones, and a good location.
