What I get done at the hairdressers from start to finish! Back to ‘French girl’ bob with @melissasalons ✂️
THE COLOUR - always a deeper/natural brown tone all over the hair and then baby lights in the fringe/subtle balayage on the sides to add definition and texture. This basically stops the haircut looking too one dimensional/adds a sun-kissed element.
THE CUT - It’s basically a one length bob with a bit of a twist. There’s a shorter layer underneath the hair to stop it looking to heavy - like a long undercut to enable the hair to sit nicely over the top! Then it’s shaped around the face to get that effortless French look/messy texture. I keep my fringe slightly longer at the sides & then feathered in the middle which tends to flatter my face shape the most.
STYLING - when I’m not wearing my natural curls, I blow dry it straight & then add loose curls with either the straighteners or a curling wand! I then usually add a hair clip to create the shape I like.
PRODUCTS - I always a heat protectant spray and bit of oil before drying/applying any heat. Then texture spray to break up the curls/add a bit of grit to my fringe & achieve that ‘undone’ look. A bit of hairspray for setting too!
