Curio boxes – a Chinese tradition in the imperial palace – were nicknamed “the emperor’s toy chest” for the precious antiques they held. In the same spirit, our Houses’ mooncake boxes are your own treasure chests, full of surprises to be discovered. With a mind-set of sustainability, glass bottles and uniforms from the Houses were upcycled into a “jade” Ping An Kou, an amulet which pays homage to the pendants families used to pass peace and safety down generations. The amulets can also be used as a stylish personal or home accessory.
