Thus, the amount of photo opportunities one can find roaming its own country is truly endless, and the following are some of my favorite spots: (1) Steyr - The area is known for its rolling hills, forests, and rivers. Steyr is also home to several protected natural areas, including the Steyr-Pramstrahler Auen, a wonderful nature reserve - pic. 1. (2) Oberösterreich is known for its diverse and beautiful natural landscapes, and some of the areas worth visiting here include Kalkalpen National Park, Mühlviertler Alpen, Traunsee, and Danube Valley - pic. 2. (3) Hallstatt - This picturesque town, surrounded by the Dachstein Mountains, is located on a narrow strip of land between the lake and the mountains - pic. 3. (4) Salzkammergut is known for its beautiful lakes and mountains. Some natural areas worth visiting here include the Dachstein Mountains, Wolfgangsee, Attersee, and Loser - pic. 4. (5) The Tauplitzalm, near the border with Slovenia and Hungary, is known for its natural attractions, including the Tauplitz Glacier – one of the largest glaciers in the Eastern Alps - pic. 5. (6) Plansee is situated at an altitude of 1,550 meters (5,085 ft) and is surrounded by the stunning alpine scenery of the Karwendel Mountains - pic. 6. (7) The Schiederweiher is a lake in the Austrian Alps and is a popular destination for recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, and hiking - pic. 7. (8) Gosausee - Surrounded by peaks that rise to over 2,700 meters (8,860 ft), this lake is known for its crystal-clear waters and fantastic mountain setting - pic. 8. (9) The Almsee is also known for its clear and turquoise waters, and in winter, the lake and surrounding area are popular destinations for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing - pic. 9. (10) Finally, the Langbathsee is a lake in Lower Austria situated at an altitude of 520 meters (1,710 ft), surrounded by forests, fields, and meadows - pic. 10."
