5 TIPS for hiring photographers when you travel ✈️ 📷 . Do you hire photographers or are you DIY? I don’t always hire a professional, but when I do these are they ways I find them: 1. Look on Airbnb experiences-I haven’t used this method yet but many people do with good results. 2. Ask in Facebook groups-this is how I found @lalotorres_foto 3. Search Instagram -I look for specific hashtags such as #naplesphotographer and this is how I got in contact with @andreina.n.photography 4. Ask locals- this is how I got in contact with @milo.theartist and @luiggijc 5. Ask people you follow on Instagram-that’s what we’re here for, right? PRO TIPS: 1.Once I have the name I make sure to get in direct contact and then ask for references (or I read reviews) and I always ask for their Instagram and any site link. Make sure their style matches and that they have a vibe you like. Be sure they communicate and go with your gut! I always pay in cash in advance because I’m traveling and sending money usually incurs a fee, and I’ve always received the photos in a timely manner. 2. Also be sure you agree on any transportation fees and the number of edited pictures you’ll receive. I usually also request some unedited ones. 3. And finally ask them to help with content for reels! Usually they are more than willing to grab video shorts or #bts shots.
