Rare Beauty Liquid Blush v. GRWM Cosmetics Milk Tint | A Comparison
Better late than never! Today, I'll be showing you the difference between these two popular formulas to date—one local, one international.
I haven't tried Rare Beauty's matte variant, but I must say that this dewy one in Believe is so close to GRWM's formula. To be honest, I don't have much to say so let's dive in!
What I Look For in a Liquid Blush
✹ It must be blendable and buildable
RB - ✓ | GRWM - ✓
✹ It must be true to color when blended
RB - ✓ | GRWM - ✓
✹ It must set into a natural or matte finish
RB - ✓ | GRWM - ✓ — both formulas set into a comfortable natural finish. It doesn't sit on top of the skin.
✹ It must be long-wearing and transfer-resistant
RB - ✗ | GRWM - ✓ — I will give it to GRWM, because it stays so well on my skin even with a mask on. Mind you, the darker shades in this formula stains too. As for RB, since it's the dewy variant, I can't really fault it if it doesn't last so well especially because I have oily skin (I can see it fading after 5 hours + if with a mask, it transfers a lot).
However, since both formula sets into a natural finish, I think it's still safe to say that RB could improve more on its longevity.
Would I recommend these? Yes, but I'd recommend you to try GRWM first. Also, both brands offer a wide range of shades. As for RB, you even have two finishes to choose from. It just now depends if you want to spend more or not.
Upon observation, many shades from RB are duped by GRWM so it's really a bang for your buck! So if the shade you're interested in is not available in GRWM's line up, I suggest you try RB's instead.
I also suggest you check out @beautybaesics_ ' account because she made a shade comparison of the RB and GRWM shades!
