SPREAD THE WORD: 8th/9th October Looking for Young Wizards of DIVERSITY (colours, sizes, shapes, abilities, ways of being) DM or mail or read below for more info — XO JL After many incredible offers all of which I hope to make part of the upcoming colour tour I landed on a more urban (though no less magical) location for the photography and testing of @mitkidspress "How To Be A Color Wizard" in the wilds of Rockarway. I think it will be more democratic and little bit of everything feeling. Now I am looking for 4 amazing kids as models and testers for the book. QUALIFICATIONS: • available on 8th AND 9th October • must sign a model release • Must be able to drag along a willing wizard's guardian or parent. • ready to learn, play and adventure • must arrive with backpack, snacks and water. WHAT YOU GET: • Safely and environmentally explore the acorns, shells, rusty bolts and other pigments of rockaway beach with the founder of the Toronto Ink Company, Jason Logan (@torontoinkcompany) and photographer Jason Fulford (@mushroom_collector) • Learn how to make color from almost anything • Experiment with artwork that fizzes, changes colour, explodes and does other weird (but safe) things • chance of having at least your hands become famous by being in great book sold around the world. • your own bottle of place-based ink. • find and use a magic wand based on your birth tree PS: also looking for a STYLIST or PROPS genius or both who can help set up and think about how this photoshoot will look and work. I keep getting great recommendations and then they end up having weddings of birthdays or COVID so I am still looking. I am a good collaborator and pay market day rate. And, as long as I am asking the colour network for help it would be great to have some strong wizard with a cube van to help out. Its going to be an extraordinary weekend. Sorry this note is so long.
