When Sebastian was born, his mother, Guillermina, was worried about his #cleftcondition and how it would affect his feeding. A nurse brought her a special bottle to ease these fears and helped her feed Sebastian. Guillermina’s cousin living in the U.S. learned about @opsmilemx and passed along the information. Guillermina was quickly informed about their upcoming surgical program in Puebla, which was only 15 minutes from their home. They were relieved to have found a program nearby, as many of our patients endure long journeys from their homes to reach our care centers. On the day of the program, Sebastian’s father got in line at 4 a.m. to ensure they were seen as soon as they could. Guillermina joined him later, and soon after, our medical volunteers began Sebastian’s medical evaluation.
