John Lennon would have been 82 years old today.... hard to believe... I like this portrait of John I took at the George V Hotel in Paris in early 1964 when the Beatles were performing at the Olympia... The second photograph was taken in a hotel room in Chicago after John's good friend, Maureen Cleave, published her March 4, 1966, interview with him in the London Evening Standard newspaper. The article contained the famous, "We're more popular than Jesus," remark which caused the American Bible Belt to burn their Beatles records.
