Happy Skin Lip Mallow Plush Matte Tints | A Local Beauty Take on K-Beauty Water Velvet Tints? If you've been following me, you know I don't keep up with Happy Skin's releases, but I was so grateful when they reached out to me to try these. Let's dive in! ✹ Texture: velvet with a bit of gel. Ultimately, the texture reminds me of the k-beauty blur water velvet tints we are seeing nowadays—from 3CE, Amuse, Clio, Bbia, etc. (though I can't compare it because I don't own any of these "yet")—so I find it so interesting because finally, we have a similar formula in the local market. ✹ Formula: it dries down to a comfy matte + it stains true to its color. Like usual tints, these dry down to a matte finish, but without shine, it almost looks "cloudy" on the lips? It's comfortable too—I retouched 5 times in a day (due to eating) without putting any lip balm and that 5th time is the only time I felt that my lips were out of moisture. The stain is intense and even too, I find it doesn't settle on the inner parts of my lips. ✹ Longevity: it fades when eating. Not a dealbreaker for me. I don't mind retouching. ✹ Transfer: none. No transfer at all, since it dries down completely matte. Great under a mask! ✹ Shades: you got warm and cool options. I love "Vibin'" which is a rosy pink. Surprisingly, I love their brown shades too because the undertone is not only warm, it has a bit of rosiness to it. You might find the shades quite typical though. ✹ Price: P549; quite high. Pretty normal for Happy Skin, but it's not necessarily affordable for everyone. So, only buy it if you can spare a bit more. ✹ v. Lip Mallows: the other formula is a straight up velvet tint.
